My guest today is Kary Bheemaiah he started his career as a marine engineer, then he joined the French Foreign Legion as a sniper. After an extremely adventurous and insightful experience as a legionnaire, Kary went back to school and set his mind to understand economics, capitalism, and technology which led him to work as a researcher and eventually to write his first book, "The Blockchain Alternative: Rethinking Macroeconomic Policy and Economic Theory" it was published by Springer-Apress in March 2017 and can also be found on O'Reilly's Safari platform. Since then he has spoken on many events such as TEDx, the Next web, and many others. He's shared many articles and opinions that can be found on MIT Tech Review WIRED, Harvard Business Review, World Economic Forum, and others. He is also an Associate Research Scientist with Cambridge, a Senior Fellow at Ecole des Ponts and a visiting lecturer at many schools. Kary is currently chief of Technology & Innovation Officer of Capgemini Invent. And today he is gonna take us through his wonderful and unique life experiences and share with us what he learned and how it shaped him. We also talk about the different kinds of leadership he encountered during his years in the army and what we can learn from it and apply to the corporate world. Also why we need to rethink capitalism and the importance of being a lifelong learner.
